The Sun Temple is a Hindu temple located in Konark, Odisha, India. It was built in the 13th century CE by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty. The temple is designed in the form of a huge chariot with twelve pairs of wheels, pulled by seven horses, and carrying the Sun god, Surya.
